About Tom PattersonTom is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and an ICF credentialed leadership coach. Ordained to the ministry in 1989, Tom has served in a variety of churches from small cross-cultural settings, to large suburban congregations. He has been a youth pastor, solo pastor, associate pastor, head of staff, and interim pastor, and appreciates and understands the unique challenges--and the common threads--in each of those roles. In recent years, Tom has been focused primarily on leadership coaching and facilitating team development--both in the church and in the business world. He is active in his local presbyteries in leadership development, and in a consultative capacity. He coaches for the Presbyterian Church's Middle Governing Bodies "Presbytery Leadership Formation" program, as well as pastors around the country, and for the Synod of the Northeast's "Early Ministry Institute." In the business world, he works (or has worked) with clients such as Microsoft, PayPal, Facebook, ebay, inc., LinkedIn, "Big 4" accounting firms, OldCastle APG, the Chickasaw Nation, KGS, the City of Seattle, and many others. Tom is passionate about confidentially coming alongside pastors who are struggling with the unique demands of pastoral leadership, and providing consulting and trainings for church leadership teams who want to have more internal health, and external impact. He lives in Seattle with his wife, Liz, and two awesome dogs named Betty and Toby. |
